Tina Turner’s son Ronnie died of colon cancer

More details have emerged since the tragic death of Tina Turner’s son Ronnie Turner last week.

Ronnie’s cause of death

Corresponding TMZ, Ronnie Turner died of “complications of metastatic colon cancer”. The outlet reports that the 62-year-old was battling stage 4 cancer, according to the LA County Coroner’s Office.

Additionally, the coroner’s report states that Turner was battling colon cancer “three weeks” before his death. The report also reveals that Turner battled atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease – a buildup of fats, cholesterol and other substances in artery walls.

Corresponding Mayo Clinic, this accumulation leads to the presence of plaque, which “can cause the arteries to narrow and block blood flow.” The plaque can rupture, which can also lead to a blood clot and cause complications in the heart.

Since his death

Ronnie’s mother Tina Turner paid tribute to her son after news of his death broke. The 83-year-old took to Instagram and shared her thoughts.

Ronnie, you left the world way too soon. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son.
