Tobey Maguire’s Reddit AMA discusses memes, live alligators, and a dancing kid

He’s going to squirt some dirt in your eye.

One of the most popular aspects of the social news aggregation site is that notable public figures often host live Q&A sessions, also known as the Reddit AMA (ask me everything) thread. Today the star of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy threw his hat into the digital ring as Tobey Maguire opened the floor for discussion.

As you’d expect, inquiries poured in, with the majority of interest centered on his fondly remembered role as Marvel’s Webslinger. Maguire revealed he still tends to pull his infamous dance out of Spider-Man 3 and is a particularly big fan of his tiny double, who made waves earlier this year by mimicking the moves with amazing accuracy.

For those of you with a penchant for memes, Maguire is quite ambivalent about those showing his resemblance, although he did admit that he finds the videos of Bully Maguire amusing. He also said he would check out the Raimimemes subreddit, much to the delight of the community.

For the most part, he remained mum on Babylon, the newly released comedy-drama film in which he serves as executive producer, as well as mob boss James McKay. Apparently, a live alligator is involved in some way, and he’s excited for audiences to uncover the full extent of that interaction.

There’s a lot more content to sift through, but if you’re looking for the final highlight, it’s probably his answer to the question of who he liked better among his Spider-Man peers, Andrew Garfield or Tom Holland.

Spoiler alert, he loves “those two guys so much” and finds the question itself “f*cked up”.
