A rarely seen member of the “Vanderpump Rules” family made a pit stop at the Schwartz & Sandy bar.
In an Instagram post shared in January 2023, Tom Schwartz shared photos of a visit from one of the writers of the theme song, “Vanderpump Rules.” The Bravo star-turned-bar owner also joked that the VPR theme tune scares him “just a little” — but only a little.

January 4, 2023, Schwartz shared an Instagram video of a man’s arm adorned with a full arm tattoo of Lisa Vanderpump. The SUR restaurant owner was seen holding two Pomeranian puppies in the detailed body art.
Schwartz posed alongside the tattooed man in a second photo taken at Schwartz & Sandy’s bar in Franklin Village, California. In the caption, he revealed that the mystery man was songwriter Matthew Remington Garner, the man behind the Vanderpump Rules theme song “Raise Your Glass.”
“We had VPR royalty at @schwartzandsandys house not long ago,” Schwartz wrote. “@itsgarner wrote the theme song #raiseyourglass, which his sister Dena sings. This melody is deeply rooted in my psyche. Summons 90% joy and 10% pure fear. Nice chilling with Matthew & his wife Alisha.”
Fans responded with one on social media To write that the catchy tune “is ingrained deep in our psyche… in a good way.”
Garner also commented on Schwartz’ post. “Haha, was a pleasure, loved the new place and you are welcome,” he wrote. “I have the same 90-10% relationship with it too. You’re a good guy, our trip has been great and I’m always grateful to have been a part of the show and VPR family. We’ll be back for sure.”
He also shared his own photos by Schwartz & Sandy’s with the caption: “Let’s just say the drinks were [great], food was great, ambience 10/10. Super fun atmosphere, great location. We had a blast kicking off the first night of our very own Vanderpump bar hop tour. Thanks @twschwa for making it special, the faces in the pics are due to the drinks being a little too good. “
Garners Instagram bio lists him as “Santa Cruz Ca, songwriter for shows like Vanderpump Rules (Theme Song), Empire, Bad Moms and more. “
Loud hustle, the “Vanderpump Rules” theme “Raise Your Glass” was recorded by indie group Memoir featuring Dena Deadly and her husband Zed Kelley. Garner was also once part of the group, the outlet noted.

The title track “Vanderpump Rules” is instantly recognizable. The opening credits are set to slo-mo footage of the Bravo reality show cast members pouring drinks and holding cocktail trays.
2021, Screenrant named “Raise Your Glass” for Best Bravo Theme Song, beating out the opening songs for “Southern Charm”, “Shahs of Sunset”, “Summer House” and more.
Fatal in 2013 posted on Facebook to introduce “Raise Your Glass” and tout it as “the theme song for the new Bravo show Vanderpump Rules.” Her band Memoir also recorded the theme song “Summer House”.“We never stop.”
2016 memories said “Raise your glass”. on an episode of Watch What Happens Live when Lisa Vanderpump guest-starred.
That same year, Grammy winner John Legend performed a piano version from the song.
