Top 10 best side quests in Hogwarts Legacy

Tangled Web
“Why spiders?! Why can’t we follow the butterflies?” Sorry Ron, but we can’t deny that Tangled Webs is one of the coolest side missions in Hogwarts Legacy. In this quest, you are tasked with becoming an exterminator by eliminating spiders.
And for everyone who might be afraid of spiders, well, thanks to the Arachnophobia mod, even you can have fun with this one. Instead of fighting eight-legged freaks, you’ll be fighting crates, which allows you to play one of the more interesting quests in the game.
flight test

One of the first questions many players had when Hogwarts Legacy was announced was “Will I be able to fly on a broomstick?” Luckily the answer is yes, you can fly on one of those bad boys in the game, although you have to have one need to complete side quest.
Once you complete this main story quest, you can do the Flight Test side quest. While not too crazy, this one comes highly recommended as not only does it allow you to get your bearings a bit more on a broomstick but it also offers some fun flying challenges including a time trial that you can compare to both yourself and your friends.
Toxic bravery

If you love a questline that offers solid ambience and exploration, then Venomous Valor is for you. In this mission you are tasked with finding the hidden Herbology Corridor, located in the wing of the clock tower on the south side of Hogwarts.
Once here you will see all types of vines and interesting paths to explore, all leading to a giant poisonous tentacle. Taking a leaf from this plant will help complete the quest, but not before you experience a really cool hidden area of the castle filled with dangerous black tendrils that can only be repelled by Lumos.
The Story of Rowland Oakes

What’s the use of being a wizard at Hogwarts if you don’t have to save a few students here and there from trouble or two? That’s essentially the draw of the Rowland Oaks storyline, except this time you’re tasked with finding and rescuing a student’s uncle who’s been captured by goblins.
Not only is it nice to say you helped your fellow classmates, but exploring ruins while taking out goblins is super satisfying. It’s also worth noting that this is one of the first quests that will require you to put on your thinking cap to progress, as it offers an interesting map puzzle that’s by no means easy to solve.
fate of the house-elf

Despite being a side quest, Plight of the House Elf is arguably one of the more important ones in the game as it is required for many other missions that you will find in Hogwarts Legacy. Located in the Room of Requirement, this quest is triggered after completing a few main quests and then speaking to Deek.
After talking to him, Deek tasks you with finding and rescuing his friend, who he believes is in danger. What follows is a treacherous adventure full of spiders and spooky caves that ends quite emotionally. Definitely one of the most heartbreaking quests in the game, Plight of the House Elf comes highly recommended for anyone who loves a good yell.
Crossed Wands

For many Hogwarts Legacy players, the only reason they picked up the game was because they could do damage with their wands, especially when it came to dueling. Luckily, Avalanche Studios understood that and introduced a quest pretty early on to raise your wand against your classmates.
This quest, titled Crossed Wands, has you find a secret club where members form teams or engage in 1-on-1 battles to duel each other. It’s arguably one of the more interesting quests early in the game, as it shows that mischief and magic are still more than alive at Hogwarts, even in the early 1900’s.
Well well well

Nothing beats a good treasure hunt, especially when you have to explore the entirety of Hogwarts castle and grounds. If you’re looking for one of these in Hogwarts Legacy, then look no further than the Well Well Well side quest.
After saving a magical fountain from choking on a piece of parchment, you embark on an adventure to find treasure, despite getting little more than the paper your magical friend just spat out. The result is an interesting mystery with waterfalls, magical hotspots and floating trees.
Summoner’s Court

Hogwarts Legacy hosts many mini-games as you can do everything from duel other students to fly on a broomstick in time trials. Arguably one of the best games is one that comes very early in the game via the Summoner’s Court quest.
You finally have the opportunity to take your first Charms class with Professor Leander Prewett, who conducts classes on the Flight Class lawn. Here you play the title game Summoner’s Court, which works as a reverse, magical version of shuffleboard or curling.
After playing this side mission, you can come back here once you’ve taken potions and reached level 5 to play the minigame with other students at your leisure.
spirit of our love

If you consider yourself one of the best and brightest at Hogwarts, then Ghost of Our Love is definitely for you. This quest features some of the more difficult puzzles in the game, ranging from floating candles to clues on treasure maps.
But more than that, Ghost of Our Love tells a cute little love story that even ends in a cute little spot, with some chairs, a table and a small candle on it. Sure, the reward of a Treasure Hunter Scarf isn’t going to blow anyone’s mind, but it’s still worth making this one for the adventure and story you bring alone.
In the shadow of the relic

In terms of rewards and stories for side quests in Hogwarts Legacy, completing In the Shadow of the Relic is a must. Not only is it the final part of a quest that gives you access to the three most powerful curses in the game, but it also tells a hellish tale about everyone’s favorite Slytherin, Sebastian Sallow.
Upon completing this side quest, not only will you have access to the three infamous Unforgivable Curses known from Harry Potter lore, but you will also see the resolution to Sebastian’s hunt to help save his sister. It’s a beautiful story that really emphasizes that Slytherin characters don’t have to be bad and that their ambition can play a big part in helping them do good, or in this case great, deeds.
