Top 11 Most Expensive Items to Buy in OSRS (2022)

Old School RuneScape has some pretty expensive items, which makes sense considering the game has been around for almost as long as our current century. Below we have summarized the most valuable items that can be found in the Great Exchange.

The most expensive items in Runescape

1. Pickaxe of the 3rd age

Cost: 2,147,483,647

One of the reasons the Age 3 Pickaxe is the most valuable item on this list is that it cannot be crafted through any skills. It’s possible to get it from Treasure Trails, but otherwise it’s hard to find. To wield the pickaxe, you need 65 Attack and at least 61 Mining if you plan to use it against ores.

2. Third Age Druidic Robe Top

Cost: 1,618,174,476

Another Treasure Trails reward, the Druidic Robe Top is a rare gift that requires the player to have at least 65 prayers to don the robes. It can provide the highest prayer bonus of any chest item.

3. Tumeken’s Shadow (uncharged)

Cost: 1,328,629,089

You can only get Tumeken’s Shadow through a drop in the Tombs of Amascut. It comes with a spell that gives the player +2 magic experience for each damage dealt, but cannot be used to auto-cast other combat spells. You need 85 Magic to wield this.

4. Twisted arch

Cost: 1,265,056,806

Once your ranged level is at least 85, seek this reward in the Vaults of Xeric. This bow fires any type of arrow and is particularly effective against powerful magical monsters.

5. Bottoms of the Druidic Robe of the 3rd Age

Cost: 1,257,707,953

Like the top at number two, the bottoms of the Age 3 Druid Robe require at least level 65 in Prayer to wear. They offer +6 to the prayer.

6. Arch of the 3rd age

Cost: 787,342,934

The Bow of the 3rd Age cannot be crafted with the Fletching skill and you need at least level 65 in the Ranged skill to wield this bow. That being said, if you get this bow as a reward from Elite or Master Treasure Trails, you can fire any type of arrow (right down to dragons) at the same speed as a shortbow.

7. Elysian Seal

Cost: 771,218,214

While it only costs 1,500,000 coins to craft the Elysian Seal if you are level 90 in Prayer, level 85 in Smithing and have all the necessary parts, the Elysian Seal is also offered as a drop from the Corporeal Beast.

8. Druid Cloak of the 3rd Age

Cost: 749,197,018

The Druid Cloak of the 3rd Age requires level 65 in Prayer, but offers the same valuable bonuses as the Robed Cloaks. Also, the robes look pretty chic on whoever wears them.

9. Elysian Spirit Shield

Cost: 602,439,871

The Elysian Spirit Shield is a bit complicated to craft, which is one of the reasons why it’s so valuable to players. If you’re level 75 in Defense and Prayer, try to get your hands on this Spirit Shield, which gives you strong melee and ranged defense bonuses.

10. Torva plate body

Cost: 415,765,132

The Torva Plate Body gives you the strongest Strength bonus of any body armor and therefore requires 80 Defense to wear. This plate body also provides Zarosian protection when you are in the God Wars Dungeon.

11. Masori armor set

Cost: 406,207,265

Masori armor sets come with a Masori mask, body and chaps for your character to wear. Combining three coveted items certainly increases an item’s price, which is why it rounds out our list of the most expensive items in Old School RuneScape.
