Sonstar Peterson, Tory Lanez’s father, took to Instagram Live on Thursday night. And shared an update with his son’s supporters.
Peterson goes live on Instagram
Ahead of his live performance, Peterson warned fans to tune in with an Instagram post.
There are many voices, but it is time the voice of truth was heard. See you tonight 🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
When he started streaming, Peterson told viewers that he wanted them to paint a different picture of his son Tory.
Because there are people who care about painting my son Daystar Peterson aka the artist Tory Lanez with a certain brush and putting him in a certain light so that people think he’s a monster, that he really is, a really terrible person who did a really, really terrible thing…
Peterson went on to explain that Tory and the rest of his family have decided to forgive Megan Thee Stallion.
This may come as a shock to many of you, but guess what? My son, I and other family members have long decided that we will not show any hostility towards Megan Pete aka Megan Thee Stallion. We forgave the girl a long time ago. A long time ago.
Peterson, who acc Hip HopDX is a former pastor and ordained minister, went on to explain that forgiveness is essential to one’s well-being. According to him, holding grudges against anyone can cause illness and disease.
We know that the principle of forgiveness is important in order to purify the heart and soul and not be associated with hatred. Hate, resentment, bitterness – these can actually be bone diseases, that’s proven. And it can lead to illness in your body because you are holding on to something that is negative against the real force in your life.
Peterson says he and his family will not “step down” from the “machine.”
Peterson then shared that while the family has forgiven the rap stress, they will not be stepping down from the “machine.”
Some will no doubt ask, “Is he really saying Tory has forgiven Megan for everything that’s going on?” Yes, we have forgiven her. But what we don’t shy away from is the machine.
Sonstar Peterson has previously expressed disagreement with his son’s guilty verdict
As The Shade Room previously reported, Peterson was furious when his son was found guilty in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting trial.
Lanez was found guilty of negligently discharging a firearm, assaulting with a semi-automatic firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He faces up to 22 years in prison. And could even be deported to Canada.
The rapper is currently awaiting sentencing. After Rolling Stoneit was moved from Jan. 27 to Feb. 28 to give the rapper’s new legal team time to familiarize themselves with his case.
