Tottenham could give Arsenal a transfer boost thanks to Harry Winks – Our View

Arsenal are reportedly still keen to raid Leicester for playmaker Youri Tielemans this summer as his contract expires in 2023 – and Tottenham could give them a huge boost by selling Harry Winks.

Tielemans, 25, is likely to leave in the coming weeks after entering the final year of his contract. Arsenal have reportedly “made advances” to sign Belgium international Tielemans for a fee of £30million.

The Gunners could use another midfielder. Fabio Vieira came on but there are doubts about Albert Sambi Lokonga’s ability. Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Lucas Torreira are both expected to leave in the coming weeks.

It leaves Arsenal with Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey at the base of midfield. So Tielemans would facilitate that. They might now find that Tottenham could give them a huge boost in their pursuit of the Monaco ex-husband.

Arsenal keen on Tielemans: Tottenham could give them Winks boost

Tielemans has also been linked with Tottenham at times – but Spurs have decided to sign Yves Bissouma from Brighton instead. It leaves Arsenal in pole position to sign the midfielder.

But even more so when Tottenham sell Winks and more specifically to Leicester. Mail journalist Sami Mobkel claims Leicester are keen on winkswhile Everton have pulled out of a deal after due diligence was carried out by Frank Lampard.

So with Leicester keen to sign Winks, a similar player to the position Tielemans played at the base of midfield – surely Spurs can help Arsenal sign Tielemans by dropping Winks to the King Power.
