Tottenham see La Liga star sixth signing after Lenglet and Richarlison, £13m needed

goal claim Tottenham are set to seek a deal for Villarreal left-back Pervis Estupinan after deals for Clement Lenglet and Richarlison – with reports Spurs are willing to pay a sum of £13million to sign the Ecuadorian.

Spurs finalize £65m deal for Richarlison Fabrizio Romano reported late Wednesday night that there is a “full agreement” between the player and Spurs. A long-term contract is agreed, talks between the clubs are scheduled.

In the meantime, says Gianluca Di Marzio Lenglet has been loaned out to Tottenham for the 2022-23 season. Spurs bring in an attacker and a left centre-back, two of Antonio Conte’s transfer requests this summer.

The deals are likely to take Tottenham’s spending close to £100m – after free transfers for Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster, as well as the £30m signing of Yves Bissouma. Now the 24-year-old Estupinan could become number six.

According to Goal, Tottenham would be happy to sign Estupinan despite the arrival of veteran Perisic – and the presence of Sergio Reguilon and Ryan Sessegnon. The report says Spurs are looking to sign the ex-Watford man for £13million.

Tottenham are pursuing a £13m deal with Estupinan

Estupinan, a regular for Villarreal under Unai Emery, has established himself as a Champions League-quality left-back in 2021/22. He started seven of Villarreal’s 12 Champions League games last season.

That included all but one of Villarreal’s six knockout games – in both semi-finals against Liverpool. He has a contract with the La Liga side until 2027 – so a fee of £13m seems incredibly cheap. A potential bargain for the Spurs.
