Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Caglar Soyuncu but face a clash with London rivals Chelsea in the race for the Leicester City ace.

Tottenham have secured Champions League football after beating Norwich City 5-0 on Sunday afternoon.

That means Antonio Conte can now potentially dive into the transfer market for some big recruits.

Tottenham are set to make Cristian Romero’s move permanent but Spurs could still switch for another centre-back this summer.

A left-back centre-back makes sense for Tottenham but it’s a right-footed one they’re now associated with at Caglar Soyuncu.

Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Caglar Soyuncu

The Daily Mail report that Soyuncu switched agents to Wasserman, an agency that represents a variety of gamers around the world.

It was added that Tottenham would be keen to sign Soyuncu, with some wondering if his agency move is a precursor to a big move.

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are also said to be keen on signing Soyuncu this summer.

Leicester might not want to sell Soyuncu but they could raise money by offloading him with Youri Tielemans and Ayoze Perez also potentially on the move.

Soyuncu, 26, became a Premier League star when he replaced Harry Maguire at the heart of Leicester’s defence.

It came a year after his £19million arrival from Freiburg and Soyuncu received plenty of praise.

Hailed by Rio Ferdinand as “very, very fast”.Soyuncu initially shone in the Premier League and his aggressive style impressed many.

But Soyuncu has suffered a dip in form over the past year and has failed to start any of Leicester’s last five Premier League games.

That could lead Leicester to think this is the right time to sell Soyuncu for big bucks this summer.

However, Eric Dier seems to sit in the middle of Tottenham’s defence, so it’s hard to see where Soyuncu fits into Tottenham’s back three.

Unless Davinson Sanchez is sold, we cannot see Soyuncu joining Tottenham this summer.
