Tragedy as mum and her British husband who welcomed quintuplets reveal three-day-old son has died

A Polish-British couple who recently welcomed quintuplets into their family have tragically revealed their three-day-old son ‘amazing angel’ has died.

Dominika Clarke, already a mother of seven children aged 10 months to 12 years, gave birth to the quintuplets on Sunday afternoon, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

The mother said it was a “miracle pregnancy” and revealed there was a one in 52 million chance of having quintuplets.

However, it was confirmed on Wednesday that Henry James, the fifth of two boys and three girls born by Caesarean section, has passed away.

Both his mother and British father Vincent Clarke, originally from Solihull, said they were absolutely devastated.

“You’re in a massive high and then it was like you were out of breath,” Vincent told the Mirror.

“It was really difficult because they were all stable and then we lost Henry. It was so sudden and such a shock.

“We have absolutely no blame for the hospital in our hearts. They tried everything to bring him back.’

The software engineer said that despite the sad news, the family “remained positive” and are turning their support and efforts to the other 11 children.

Vincent added: “It was an absolute honor and privilege to have been chosen to be the parent of little Henry. We enjoyed every second of the time we got to spend with him.”

The five babies, weighing 25 to 49 ounces, were born at the University Hospital in Krakow, Poland.
