Trump Attorney Jenna Ellis ADMITS to making false claims about the 2020 election

Jenna Ellis, one of former President Donald Trump’s 2020 election attorneys, admitted in a Colorado court filing that she made “misrepresentations” about the outcome of the presidential election.

Ellis, alongside former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and conspiracy theorist Sidney Powell, has been the faces of Trump’s effort to overturn President Joe Biden’s 2020 victory by claiming there was widespread voter fraud.

Last year, the bipartisan watchdog group 65 Project filed a complaint accusing Ellis of professional misconduct with the aim of having her license revoked in her home state of Colorado.

In a decision released Wednesday, Colorado Chief Disciplinary Judge Bryon Large wrote that Ellis concurred that she made 10 false statements on Twitter and television appearances during November and December 2020.

These misrepresentations have ranged from tweets saying the “election was STOLEN” to longer statements saying there was evidence of widespread fraud.

“We have witness affidavits, we have voter intimidation, we have the ballots that were tampered with, we have all kinds of statistics showing that this was a coordinated effort in all of these states, votes either Trump on Biden transmit or manipulate the ballots in order to count them secretly,” Ellis said on Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria Bartiromo Nov. 20, for example.

Large wrote that Ellis and the state of Colorado agreed that she made those statements with “at least a reckless state of mind.”

“The parties agree that the defendant’s conduct undermined the American public’s confidence in the presidential election and violated its duty of openness to the public,” the judge continued, adding that Ellis “had a selfish motive.” and “a pattern of wrongdoing.”

The punishment was a public rebuke, although Ellis did not lose her ability to practice law in the state of Colorado.

Taking to Twitter, Ellis called it a legal win.

“This was politically motivated from the start by Democrats and Never Trumpers. Ultimately they failed to destroy me and failed in their attempt to revoke my license to practice law. Glad to have this behind me and to continue in good standing in the state of Colorado,” she tweeted in a message to “every news outlet that has contacted, will contact, or pretends to contact me or my attorneys to contact my lawyers.’

She also tweeted a statement from her attorney, Michael Melito.

“My client remains a practicing attorney in good standing in the state of Colorado. In a very heated political climate, we got this right result,” said Melito.
