Trump is firing back after the New York Attorney General announced a massive lawsuit against him and his family members

Former President Donald Trump is not holding back criticism of the New York Attorney General as he faces a lawsuit that could cripple his real estate empire.

After New York Attorney General Letitia James announced the lawsuit, Trump took to Truth Social to claim it was “another witch hunt” by a “racist attorney general.”

He wrote that James “failed in her run for governor” and “now does poorly against Law.” [and] Order AG Candidate, Distinguished Michael Henry”

Trump continued, “I never thought this case would come up – until I saw her really bad poll numbers. She’s a con artist who’s been fighting on a ‘Get Trump’ platform despite the city being one of the most crime and homicide disasters in the world under her watch!”

in one separate post, The former president called James a “total crime-fighting disaster in New York” who “spends all her time fighting for very powerful and well-represented banks and insurance companies that got paid in full, made a lot of money and never had a complaint about me, instead of fighting murder and violent crime that is killing New York State.”

“It’s a failed corporation whose lack of talent to fight crime is causing record numbers of people and businesses to flee New York. Bye!” he added.

On Wednesday, James filed a lawsuit against the former president and three of his adult children.

“It is allegedly seeking about $250 million in illegal profits from the scheme, as well as a five-year ban on former President Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump’s involvement in real estate transactions — a restriction that would mean the end of the Trump real estate empire,” he added.

The lawsuit aims not only to ban members of the Trump family from participating in real estate transactions, but also to permanently ban them from holding a position as a director or officer of a New York City corporation or any state-registered corporation.

Politico says the lawsuit “is based on a special statute for repeated instances of alleged violations of law arising out of real estate transactions.”

“She is also filing a criminal referral to the Manhattan Attorney’s Office and a separate tax fraud referral to the IRS on the same underlying allegations,” she added.

during one press conference On Wednesday, James said, “I announce that today we are filing a lawsuit against Donald Trump for breaking the law as part of his efforts to generate profits for himself, his family and his company.”

“The complaint shows that Donald Trump falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to unfairly enrich himself and defraud the system, thereby defrauding us all,” she continued.

The Attorney General called the alleged “pattern of fraud” “amazing.”

In a tweet, James wrote, “Today I filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump for years of financial fraud for the benefit of himself, his family and the Trump Organization.”
