Trump reveals why he didn’t release footage of Mar-a-Lago raid but says it resembles a ‘military coup’

Former President Donald Trump said he did not release video of the FBI raid on his Mar-a-Lago property in Florida because he did not want to jeopardize the safety of the agents involved.

“They would rather not have me [release the footage] because of the security of the FBI agents who swarmed the place,” Trump said Tuesday news max “Wake up America.”

“I don’t think they wanted to fan it out if you want to know the truth,” he said.

He continued, “I have a great relationship with people in the FBI… and for the safety of the people featured in the footage, they asked us not to release it. But we have it.”

“It’s not a pretty picture either. It looks like a military coup,” Trump said.

Last month, the 45th President’s son, Eric Trump, said his father plans to release the damning footage. In the right time.”

Significantly, the same motley crew of Anti-Trump FBI Officials who spearheaded the discredited Russiagate hoax and orchestrated the Aug. 8 raid on Trump’s Palm Beach home.

Numerous analysts have described the unprecedented crackdown as a partisan witch hunt intended to prevent the former president from running again in 2024 and to intimidate his supporters.

Trump told Newsmax he believes in it Biden administration has “armed” the Justice Department to harass and prosecute him by ransacking his home.

during the pushy, invasive raidHe said several FBI agents were searching the private belongings of his wife, former first lady Melania Trump, and their 16-year-old son, Barron.

“You go in and say these people were in here and in your bedroom, and they were in Barron’s room and Melania’s room,” Trump said. “I mean, if you think how awful it is.”

The former president said his wife felt “very hurt” when agents rushed in and searched her closets, drawers and other personal belongings.

“They go into a closet. They’re going through their clothes and who knows what else,” Trump said.

The FBI’s abuse got worse because the agents left Mar-a-Lago behind ransacked the house.

“And it wasn’t left as you found it. … I think it’s a shame that something like this can happen,” the former president said.

Trump said the Biden administration is “destroying our country” because it’s only good at “disinformation and voter fraud.” That’s all they’re good at. You are not good at running a country.”

He reiterated his position that he had done nothing wrong and that the raid was a corrupt, politically motivated stunt designed to humiliate and bully him.

Should Trump Release Mar-a-Lago Raid Footage?

“We didn’t do anything wrong. I did nothing wrong. Nothing was done wrong,” the former president told Newsmax.

Two constitutional lawyers who worked in the administrations of former Presidents Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush agreed that the FBI’s search warrant was invalid.

In her August 22nd Wall Street Journal In a comment, David Rivkin Jr. and Lee Casey said the FBI “had no valid reason for the raid” because a former president’s rights under the Presidential Records Act supersede any laws the agency cited in its warrant.

“The PRA expressly guarantees a former president continued access to his papers,” Rivkin and Casey wrote.

“His possession of you is fully consistent with that right and therefore lawful regardless of the laws the FBI cites in its warrant.”

In other words, the Presidential Records Act covers all documents Trump had at his Mar-a-Lago residence, so the search warrant was invalid.

“There is nothing in the PRA to indicate that the former President’s physical custody of his records could be considered unlawful under the statutes on which the Mar-a-Lago warrant is based,” Rivkin and Casey wrote.

“So if the Justice Department’s only complaint is that Mr. Trump had in his possession presidential records that he took from the White House, he should be aware, even if some of those records are classified.”

While Trump’s reluctance to release video of the raid is understandable, it might be a good idea to show the public just how vindictive, corrupt and abusive the Biden administration is and how far it will go to go after its political opponents.

If the FBI and this White House can do this to a billionaire former president, they can do this—and much worse—to the average American who is not rich, powerful, or connected.
