Turkey Syria earthquake donation: Here’s how from the UK

The terrible earthquake took place in the early hours of February 6th and has taken the death toll to 24,000 at the time of writing.

As hundreds of buildings were destroyed, many survivors were left homeless, as some reports suggest as many as 5.3 million people have been left homeless in Syria alone.

Many countries have offered their help with the Britain sends rescuersmedical aids and special equipment.

Charities have also launched appeals, allowing the public to donate money to the devastation Turkey and Syria.

How to donate to the earthquake in Turkey and Syria

Many charities that are part of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) are accepting donations to support the earthquake.

The British Red Cross has launched its appeal and sees members of the team supporting the search and research mission.

While Oxfam provides emergency food and shelter to support those exposed to the cold, as well as supplies such as food and clean water.

Sharing these donations supports aid by distributing basic necessities like water and blankets, providing first aid and crisis support, setting up emergency shelters, assisting with the rescue effort and more.
