Tuskegee gets the road win at Kentucky State

The Golden Tigers earned a 36-10 win on the road at Kentucky State. Tuskegee improves to 2-0 on the season so far.

The game started at 3-3, but the Golden Tiger offense was able to get going and score three unanswered touchdowns to take a 23-3 lead. Then, with just 1:42 left in the first half, linebacker Malik Moore’s interception return made it 30-3 at halftime.

The Golden Tigers totaled 314 yards of offense. Quarterback Bryson Williams scored 87 yards and a touchdown through the air. Wide receiver Antonio Meeks led the way in receiving with three catches for 38 yards. The running back room was led by Chase Sellers, who had 11 carries and 72 yards.

Tuskegee’s defense also had a great performance, forcing two turnovers and 11 tackles, including five sacks.

Tuskegee returns for its home opener against Central State on Saturday, September 16th. Kick-off is for 1:00 p.m
