TV host Megyn Kelly has caused a stir after comparing Meghan Markle to Will Smith after he beat Chris Rock at the Oscars.

Megyn said: “They’re so out of touch, they can’t relate to something that real people go through and for me Will Smith, I know people think he nailed it on his little speech when he won the award, I don’t know I don’t think so.

“I put him in the same boat as Meghan Markle with her whining and crying about alleged racists she wouldn’t name in the royal family, about how hard it is to be a princess.

“Nobody cares what title your kid gets, nobody cares.

“They have their own problems to deal with.

“Will Smith is up there, people say mean things. Nobody gives a fig.”

However, social media users have criticized the host for bringing the Duchess in after the tense situation.

Following Meghan and Harry’s Oprah interview, the royal family released a statement. It was explained that the issues raised would be “handled” privately as a family. Prince William also told reporters days after the interview aired that the royals were “very non-racist”.
