Two boys charged with allegedly torturing and killing a red cat in Glenwood, west Sydney

Horrifying surveillance footage shows the moment a mask-wearing teenager walks the streets with a family cat hours before his body was found dead in a nearby pond.
Police have claimed two boys, aged 12 and 14, took the cat from a Sydney home around 4:30pm on March 8, 2023.
The cat was allegedly taken to a nearby clearing and then tortured and killed.

Two teenagers have been charged with animal cruelty.
After an extensive investigation, investigators from the Riverstone Police Area Command arrested the teens at a home in Glenwood around 5 p.m. Monday before taking them to Riverstone Police Station.
Both boys were accused of torturing, beating and killing an animal, as well as disposing of a killed or stolen animal.
They have been granted strict conditional bail and will appear in a children’s court on Tuesday April 4, 2023.
