Teen Mom star Tyler Baltierra said he was heartbroken after learning a pregnant woman whose child was “incompatible with life” at 23 weeks would have to travel to be initiated

Teen Mom star Tyler Baltierra said he was heartbroken after learning a pregnant woman whose child was “incompatible with life” at 23 weeks would have to travel to be initiated because Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court.

Chloe Patridge started a GoFundMe page to finance their travel and medical expenses. The fundraiser went viral, raising more than $20,000 from nearly 900 donations. Donations have since been disabled.

“I found out at 23 weeks that my baby was incompatible with life. I asked my doctor to arrange for me and he agreed. Unfortunately, that couldn’t happen with Roe v Wade’s fall,” Patridge explained on her GoFundMe page. “I’ve been told I must stay pregnant until my baby disappears inside me or until she is born and dies.”

One of the people who participated in the fundraiser was Baltierra.

“This is absolutely heartbreaking for me!” Baltierra began his post. “It’s only been a week since Roe V Wade fell and look at the needless trauma it’s already causing!”

“The bottom line is that the decision as to whether abortion is the right choice for everyone should be between YOU and A DOCTOR of your choice!” he continued. “NO theocratic, hypocritical, dishonest judges!”

Baltierra vowed to fight for women’s rights.

“I’m so sad for this woman and the inevitable others who will have to face this kind of needless adversity in the future because of the Supreme Court’s attack on women’s reproductive rights,” he said. “To all the women out there, and as the father of all girls, I promise you that I will fight to the end to ensure you have your reproductive rights! I stand by you and I’m so sorry we have to fight this in the first place.”

Baltierra continued to defend Patridge

Patridge’s Instagram post, which garnered more than 2.3 million likes, sparked a conversation in the comments section, with some people accusing her of spreading “misinformation.”

“PLEASE STOP discrediting this poor woman who now feels that she needs to prove her trauma is real and DEFEND her response to that trauma,” he wrote via Instagram Stories, according to a screenshot shared by teen mom things. “It is abominably pathetic and cruel! She’s been through enough. Some of you make me sick!”

Catelynn Lowell Baltierra has also reached out to Patridge via social media.

“I’m so sorry our system let you and your baby down…my heart breaks for you…. We will not stop fighting for our rights!!!!” she said Patridge’s contribution.

Lowell is a strong supporter of abortion rights

Lowell and Baltierra have both become vocal pro-choice advocates since Roe v. Wade was undone.

Lowell vowed to fight for abortion rights.

“We must VOTE, we must COLLECT, we must STAND UP!! I will FIGHT for my daughters until I die! If you’re not angry, there’s a problem!!! Please PLEASE stand up and say it!!!!” She wrote in an Instagram post.

Lowell revealed that her views have evolved since becoming a mother to four girls. She was a pro-life advocate when she gave birth for the first time in 2009 — and put her daughter Carly up for adoption — but has since changed her mind.

“I think it has a lot to do with speaking out about my adoption around the world and during this time of mourning it has helped me blur my sadness. Fast forward to Nova, then two more beautiful girls. My views are changing.” She said.
