Masks are not required for passengers to board, according to three airlines with bases in the United Arab Emirates: flydubai, Etihad, and Emirates. At Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central, wearing a mask is not required, according to a spokeswoman for Dubai Airports (DWC). Airlines may, however, require customers to wear facial covering while traveling, depending on the laws in effect at intermediate or final destinations.
However, only tourists who are traveling to China, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Maldives, the Philippines, South Korea, Seychelles, or Canada would need masks, according to Etihad Airways.
