Vanguard players blast Zombies update as ‘slap in the face’ to CoD fans

Call of Duty: Vanguard players have slammed the game’s new Zombies update as an “insult” and “a slap in the face” to fans of the series, with its Shi No Numa addition significantly disappointing.

Fans of the Call of Duty series will be familiar with the Zombies modes. Originating in World War 2008, the popular mode saw players battle hordes of the undead and has made a comeback in almost every CoD game over the past decade.

The same is true of Vanguard, but Sledgehammer’s 2021 portrayal of Zombies has not received critical acclaim in some parts.

Criticism has especially piled up since the mid-season update was dropped on January 11. While it brings the classic Shi No Numa map to Vanguard, many people still feel changed in the short term.

Vanguard Zombies Shi No Numa

Shi No Numa has let down Vanguard players.

Redditor GreaseFeast was among the fans who spoke out against the new map: “Twitter by Treyarch called Shi No Numa ‘classic survival gameplay’ and ‘traditional zombies’, so I was blown away. I think we will be able to progress through the map as we did over a decade ago. Maybe my expectations are too high, but why would they even bother with this mode? New building starting? ”

Some CoD fans have criticized the effort (or lack thereof) they feel has gone into Zombies in Vanguard. Many have compared it unfavorably to those in the BOCW.

The Redditor concluded: “There is absolutely no point in adding this to the game and feels like a slap in the face to Zombies fans. It’s sad that Vanguard has such a bad Zombie mode when I love Cold War so much.”

Many people agreed with the OP and argued that its presentation was misleading. The Redditor went on to say: “It’s just lazy. They should have just added it without saying “classic survival” and “traditional zombies”, they knew what they were doing. ”

Here’s hoping that the future of Vanguard and its Zombies will be brighter in 2022. Vanguard players blast Zombies update as ‘slap in the face’ to CoD fans
