Verona Bar and Kitchen launches Kids Eat Free offer

A RESTAURANT in Newton-le-Willows has launched a Kids Eat Free offer to help families in need.

The Verona Bar and Kitchen on Newton High Street is offering free food to children every day until Sunday 12th February.

The family-run restaurant has made the decision to launch the four-week offer as the current climate is putting financial pressure on struggling households.

Hattie Ashton, General Manager of Verona Kitchen and Balcony Bar, said: “As a family run business we greatly value the time we spend together as a family, especially the time we spend around the dining table chatting over good food, and we would like to do whatever we can to provide opportunities for local families who may find it difficult to continue to do so given the current economic crisis the country is going through.

“We initially decided to offer Kids Eat Free every day until February 12 in the hope that families who are more mindful of what they spend, especially after Christmas, can still enjoy a weekend evening or lunch together.

“It doesn’t matter to us whether people visit us once in four weeks or ask us about this offer every day.

“The first week of the offer seems to have been very well received and the atmosphere in the restaurant has been good, so we will discuss what else we can do as a company in the future.”

The offer is valid for children under 12 years of age and with a full-paying adult meal.

The bar and kitchen’s popular Thursday date night deal, which includes two pasta dishes and a bottle of wine for £30, and 20 per cent off take-away orders in January are also available to make dining at the restaurant more affordable.
