The alleged victim in the case is filing a civil lawsuit seeking $10 million in damages
The victim, Darnell Greene, has filed a civil lawsuit in Louisiana alleging he suffered, among other things, an orbital fracture that led to shoulder surgery. Greene is seeking $10 million in damages, the outlet reports.
A court date is scheduled for March 2.
Las Vegas Metro Police say Greene was waiting outside the elevator at Drai’s nightclub along with a group of people that included the four suspects.
Kamara reportedly put his hand on the victim’s chest to prevent him from entering the elevator as the doors opened before he was hit, according to a police report filed shortly after the incident.
“As soon as the elevator came down, I got on the elevator and a guy put his hands on mine, on my chest to tell me like he’s pushing me back and telling me I can’t get on the elevator,” he said Greene grand jury.

“And I, um, you know, I go there, it’s not the first time I’ve been there, I’ve been there a couple of times and everyone uses [sic] the same elevator. So when he pushed me, I pushed his hands off my chest and then he pushed me really hard and then someone hit me.”
The victim was reportedly knocked unconscious as Kamara and Lammons fled the scene in the former’s limousine
Police said Lammons punched Greene and pushed him against a wall. Greene went on to tell the grand jury that he then passed out and remembered nothing else.
The indictment alleges Lammons punched “Greene in the head, neck or upper chest,” adding that Kamara then “charged[Greene]to hit[him]in the head, neck, chest, upper back and/or upper chest.” hit and/or hit torso area.”
Kamara, Lammons and the other two suspects then fled the scene in a limousine owned by Kamara, the outlet reports.

Kamara’s lawyers claim he acted in self-defense when he hit the victim
Last week, Kamara’s attorneys, David Chesnoff, Drew Findling and Richard Schonfeld, said in a statement that their client acted only in self-defense when he punched Greene.
“The state avoided a contested preliminary hearing by charging Mr. Kamara,” his lawyers said. “He intends to vigorously combat the allegations at trial as he was defending himself and others at the time of the incident.”
An NFL spokesman declined to comment on the video’s release or content, reports 8 News Now.
In 2017, Kamara was selected in the third round of that year’s NFL Draft by New Orleans and has played for the team ever since. Last season he had a total of 1,387 rushing and receiving yards and four touchdowns.
