Vin Sur Vingt adds a wine shop on the Upper West Side

Vin sur Vingt, a group of French wine bars in New York with a branch in Washington, DC, has added a wine shop on the Upper West Side. Sébastien Auvet, the group’s managing partner, created a wine club linked to the bars a few years ago and continued this program with this new resource. The store only carries French wines, no spirits or aperitifs, and hundreds of them are categorized by region, with most prices ranging from $13 to $400. “French wine can be intimidating,” Mr Auvet said. “We’re trying to democratize them.” The Tucker Hurley-run store hosts tastings several times a week and will offer subscriptions later this year.
