Vlahovic has sent a 3 word message to Perisic following his move to Spurs

Well, Ivan Perisic to Tottenham Hotspur is a done deal.

Spurs have had a brilliant start to their summer transfer window by signing the 33-year-old Croatian winger on a free deal once his deal at Inter Milan expires.

This is a player Tottenham boss Antonio Conte knows very well having worked with him at San Siro.

And while he’s in the twilight of his career, he could still be a good addition for the Lilywhites.

Perisic continued to react to the transfer Instagram earlier that evening – and he had an interesting player response.

Dusan Vlahovic, himself a Tottenham target earlier this year, was among the footballers to congratulate the attacker.

The Juventus killer simply wrote when translated into English: “good luck brother‘.

The message he replied to from Perisic read: “I’m super proud to join and embark on this new journey. I’m so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait for the first game.”

But as Arsene Wenger always said, there’s a difference between a big name and a big player.

Not that Perisic wasn’t a big name, but his shares were a lot higher when he was linked with Manchester United every few months – and before he was 33.

However, this is someone who remains a big player and is still lightning fast despite the aging process.

Conte is set to sign younger and more glamorous footballers this summer but Perisic can still be very effective and it will be fascinating to see how he adapts to the Premier League.
