TMZ was the first to obtain court documents filed by Clarkson’s attorney Ed McPherson seeking a restraining order against 56-year-old Huguette Young. Clarkson’s chief of security, Michael Lopez, alleges in the filing that the woman showed up at Clarkson’s home at least 18 times and left gifts and notes for the singer on her porch, including dog toys, stickers, plants and seeds.

Another security guard once confronted Young and told her that she was trespassing and had been caught on surveillance cameras. Court filings say the woman apologized but kept coming back despite the warning.

In addition to being concerned for her own safety, Clarkson asked that the restraining order protect her family, nanny and house manager. Clarkson has two children – eight-year-old River Rose, who joined her mother in the People’s Choice Awards last week, and six-year-old Remington Alexander. She shares custody of the children with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson’s filing required that Young stay at least a football field away from her home, her workplace, and her children’s school. A judge issued the injunction and a trial will take place later in December.

Clarkson purchased her 5,000-square-foot, five-bedroom Los Angeles mansion in 2021. Lute! News, for $5.5 million.
