Lala Kent recently revealed that following her split from Randall Emmett, lines were drawn between her Vanderpump Rules co-stars, at least in her mind, and shared which of her castmates she “cut out” for staying friends with her ex – fiancee.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Kent revealed which VPR stars gave her the most and least support after their split. she called ‘The least supportive’ co-stars were Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz:
Sandoval hasn’t even asked me if I’m okay, or even acknowledge it. And I found out that Schwartz was hanging out with this person the other day, so I cut him out…
I’m not the type to say you have to choose sides, but if you don’t choose my side or stay in Switzerland, I don’t want anything to do with you.
Katie Maloney, who recently announced her split from husband Schwartz, reacted to Kent’s decision to “cut” Schwartz.

Responding to Kent’s comments, Maloney said it was her “MO” but couldn’t blame her
Maloney was asked about Kent’s comments during an interview with E! news at Neon Carnival 2022 and she said she totally understands where her co-star is from. “That’s kind of her MO and I can’t blame her for that,” Maloney said. “She has strong feelings for Randall and how things went and the person he is and not wanting him in her life and I can’t blame her for that.”
Maloney, who recently ended her own relationship with Schwartz, said that Kent has been very clear with her co-stars about her split from Emmett. She claimed the film’s producer cheated on her and said he was at home with her daughter Ocean, E! messages reported.
“She made it abundantly clear to all of us, and she said it explicitly,” Maloney told the publication. “So for anyone who kind of takes that and goes back and decides to continue with a friendship or relationship and knowing … it is what it is.”
Maloney & Schwartz are getting divorced, but she said nothing has changed between her friends
However, it looks like “Vanderpump Rules” stars won’t have to choose between Maloney and Schwartz when it comes to their divorce, as the two have made it clear that they want an amicable split. “Nothing has changed,” she said E! news.
“I know it can get messy sometimes with a big breakup or divorce, and it’s still complex, but it didn’t cause too much of a ripple effect when it came to our friends or anything like that,” Maloney explains.
Maloney and Schwartz were in a relationship for 12 years and tied the knot in 2016. The “Vanderpump Rules” stars announced they were splitting up in March 2022, a month after saying they actually split. Aside from that, the two have since been spotted together and Maloney actually shared them podcast that they will live together for the time being.
