Warm and dry for a few more days

Definitely a warm weather pattern has spread across our weather this week! Mostly sunny skies will keep temperatures comfortably warming into the upper 70s to lower 80s. Nighttime temperatures are also rising and we’ll only fall into the lower to mid 50s. Wednesday is expected to be the warmest with temperatures around 80 degrees in several locations.
It looks like a frontal border will attack the state by the end of the week. We now see a good chance of rain on Friday. It looks like precipitation amounts will be between 0.50 and 0.75 inches. The model data continues to show an upward trend and in some places we could see a little more. All signs point to the front moving through, but clouds and some shower activity will continue into the weekend. This will leave clouds and occasional showers hanging in the area. Temperatures will drop due to clouds and rain activity. Highs will only reach the upper 60s to lower 70s both days. You’ll probably need the rain gear for all of your outdoor weekend plans.
In the meantime, be sure to put away the coats this week. Enjoy the warmth while it lasts, knowing that colder air will soon return.
