With the season and drafts in the rearview mirror, the NBA Finals can be like it was a while ago. It was only three weeks ago, but during the Golden State Warriors’ first road game in Boston in the Finals, chaos ensued as fans began chant ‘F you Draymond’ throughout the Garden.

Warriors coaches Steve Kerr and Klay Thompson sarcastically saying it is luxurious in their post-game seminars. Kerr recently joined the Point Forward podcast hosted by Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner and reiterated his stance on what the Celtics crowd said.

“I think they crossed the line,” explains Kerr. “I’m all about booing boos, cheering for your own team. The proper cheer – if you want to go that route – is ‘bad, bad’. … When they say ‘F you Draymond,’ 20,000 people, I also think of Draymond’s children. “

Draymond’s son DJ was at the game, and Green’s fiance was furious after the game against the Boston crowd. However, the NBA commissioner did not find it crossing a line.

“I want the fans to enjoy themselves,” NBA commissioner Adam Silver told WCVB after game 3. “Of course, as the federation office, you want to see it done with respect for all involved. But I understand. I love the energy Boston fans bring to the game. “

Draymond Green opposes Adam Silver

During an appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Green addressed those critical comments in Boston with Noah. At first, the Michigan-born player thought there were things fans shouldn’t say, but after what Silver said about it, everything seemed to be fair game.

“I used to feel like fans shouldn’t say some of the things they say,” Green told Noah. “Then Commissioner Silver came out and said, ‘Hey, those Boston fans are great,’ when they were saying ‘F— you Draymond!’ So I said, “Okay.”

At this point, Green welcomes those rants, because he wants to come back without the consequences.

“So the reaction to that was, ‘Oh, that’s great, Great. Can I turn around and scream, “(Excited) them?”

Green got a good laugh from The Daily Show’s audience, but as anyone knows of the four-time All-Star personality, he means every word he says.

The resilient defense just wanted to make sure he didn’t get penalized. He certainly mentioned that during his appearance on the Daily Show.

“So what I want to say to the average person is, ‘It’s okay, it’s okay, let them do their thing. But let me do my thing, and don’t hit my pocket. ‘”

Draymond Green – From Under to NBA 4x Champion | The Daily Show“The moment we finished, I was standing on the podium, and I was like, this is crazy. It’s wild. How do we get back here? Four-time NBA champion of the Golden State Warriors, Draymond Green discusses his podcast “The Draymond Green Show,” misconceptions about what makes a player “soft” and how he reacts to it. gossip from…2022-06-28T14: 39: 49Z

Players are always severely punished for reacting to fans with words or gestures. Green is no stranger to these types of penalties, and he is likely to continue to be penalized in the future.

Draymond Green admits the hymn beat him up at first

In a sit-down podcast with JJ Redick’s The Old Man and the Three, Green talked about how surprisingly he was shaken when the chants started happening.

“I was a bit confused, and I was never embarrassed in front of an opponent because it was just a surprise. You expect boos, you expect people to shout at you, but I never expect 21,000 people to shout ‘F you Draymond’. “

This is quite shocking, as Green has always been the most hated opponent, so he must have heard all kinds of insults and curses directed at him. The fact that he said he wasn’t expecting it, shows just how loud and frenetic the New England fans can be.
