Curry’s family shows their support

The day before the Warriors hosted the Nuggets, Curry received a sweet surprise from his family when they decorated a dessert tray with a note for him: “Good luck dad.” Curry’s children have been a fixture of Warriors games for years, ever since then 2-year-old Riley stole the show during a post-match press conference in the 2015 NBA knockouts. .

The family were at Chase Center on Saturday, with Curry’s wife, Ayesha, sharing an Instagram story celebrating the 123-107 win. While Curry appreciates the support he’s received from Ayesha and their three children, he says he regrets making Riley the focus at such a young age.

“One thing I really regret technically is how quickly this all came about is when I put Riley on the podium,” Curry told The Undefeated. “I’ve always wanted… to share what I have to do and all the experiences I have, with my family. I don’t know how much it will explode and how much she will splash [would make] in the context of.”

Curry has also worked closely with Ayesha on their out-of-court businesses, including a charity that helps needy families in the Bay Area. The two often become the focus of attention, including last September when they caused waves on the Met Gala red carpet.

Curry is enhanced

Curry and the Warriors had a lot of luck in Game 1 on April 16, defeating the Nuggets even as Curry easily returned to the competition. Appearing in his first game in more than a month after suffering a leg injury, Curry came on from the bench to score 16 points in 21 minutes.

Curry’s replacement in the starting lineup, keeper Jordan Poole, scored 30 points in the first playoff of his career. Curry said after the game that he’s not sure when he’ll be 100% back, leaving open the possibility that Poole could continue as a starter for Game 2.

“I don’t have any expectations for what’s next because we’re always trying to figure this out because it’s a tricky situation in terms of the rapid growth I’ve had and this is playoff type intensity and no gas,” Curry said.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr won’t reveal much about the squad for the second half. Asked after Saturday’s win if he could keep Poole in the starting line-up when Curry came on from the bench, Kerr has dodged to give a definitive answer.

“Yes, we will cross that bridge when we get there,” he said.
