Warzone has a history of weird bugs, but a new bug is billed as a “box glitch” that makes players look like they’ve been hacked into a wall.
In one of the weirdest crashes fans have ever seen, this one is throwing boxes onto a player’s screen, seemingly sketching an enemy.
Let’s take a look at what Warzone players call the “box glitch” and why it makes people sound like wall hacks.
What is Warzone “glitch box” and why does it look like a wall hack
This new box issue in Warzone is a visual effect that places a giant white box on your screen, as well as making your bullets “ghost markers”. It also follows by preventing your weapon from firing projectiles for a few seconds.
Warzone pro Aydan ran into this while he was streaming the game on January 14, and fans have come to believe that something puzzling is going on.
As seen in the clip above, the Warzone star is shooting at a door when he suddenly gets a white box and a tick on the screen. However, once he entered the room, no one was sitting in the building.
As the video continues, you hear Aydan say, “My kid got wiretapped, my kid glitched, it’s like no recording, I think it’s my fault.” This is why others believe it’s just a bug.
Some fans believe this is a wall hack because of the white box appearing on the wall. However, people are quick to note that the box is actually Airstrike’s reticle, which means it’s in the game file.
In one reddit theme, user ‘Beautiful_Piccolo_51’ said “Yeah, that’s not cheating, the white box on that door is actually a bug, it’s the scope of the air raid.”
At the time of this writing, no one seems to know what causes the Airstrike console to malfunction. However, since Airstrikes is part of Warzone, people think this is just a glitch and not a hack, but while observing it can look extremely suspicious.
