Warzone streamers Aydan and FaZe Kalei consider switching to Apex Legends

Call of Duty: Warzone’s new Pacific, Caldera, and Vanguard map integration didn’t guarantee a game renaissance. Instead, popular streamers and pros like Aydan and FaZe Kalei are considering pivoting to compete with BR, Apex Legends.
For months after its March 2020 release, Warzone was the most watched battle royale on Twitch. Eventually, the game’s lone Verdansk map became stale and Apex Legends has passed the title in November 2021.
Hopes are high for a Warzone renaissance arc with Vanguard integration and the launch of the first new large scale map, Caldera, in December 2021. But those aspirations were short-lived due to some problems with the game.
War zone the quality checkers still seem to be on strike, the game with invisible interface, and Krampus introduction of holiday update simply angers players. And now, some of the biggest streaming players are leaning so much that they’re looking elsewhere.
Warzone pro Aydan moves to Apex Legends (for now)
Today is my first day not playing Warzone. It’s definitely going to be hard and hurtful to feel, but that game sucks and needs some changes before I start over.
Silver 1 in Apex, goal is to go Platinum tonight! 😆

As Aydan explained in a December 29 tweet, he’s taking a break from Warzone and prioritizing Apex Legends. This happened right after that NICKMERCS urges streamers to follow in his footsteps and leave the game for Apex’s greener pastures.
It also comes directly after Aydan calls for a ranked playlist in Warzone, a competitive mode exists in Apex and has ignored by CoD developers for over a year The current.
And, while Aydan is turning to EA’s battle royale to scratch his competitive itch, he’s not alone. Streamer FaZe KaleiRenay also teased the idea of swapping locations.
FaZe Kalei Sees Apex in Warzone’s Disappointing Age
we should all just move to the top
– FaZe Kalei (@KaleiRenay) December 27, 2021
In a response to Aydan’s original tweet saying how “refreshing” Apex was, Kalei also talked about the premise of the title switch. Without any punches, she said very simply: “We should all just move on to the top.”
Given Warzone’s viewership and prize pool, it’s hard to imagine people leaving altogether. But it is still an interesting model. A new map isn’t enough to get NICKMERCS back from EA, so one has to wonder if others will follow in his footsteps.
