Like all great ambassadors, he had his favourites, such as Pride in Sport, Give Out Day and the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation.

When Simon realized he had no partner, friends, money, or support system, he began to experience depression and anxiety. When he lost interest in going to the gym, he realized something was wrong.

Before that, he trained six hours a day in the fitness studio for competitive sports. He withdrew from his partner and began only talking on the phone instead of skyping, causing him a fear he had never felt before.

Simon could see the symptoms and that he needed help. He then contacted a doctor with whom he had an open conversation. He advised him to get back to the gym, return to Sydney, find employment as a personal trainer and make things right again.
