Paramount+ (like any streaming service) has been working hard to gain subscribers, and their recent move is no exception. The studio premiered its latest original series, glorioleavailable for everyone to stream on YouTube. Paul Schreiber (The cable, American gods) is the main protagonist of the series as Master Chief.
gloriole premiered on March 24 on Paramount+. Paramount premiered part of the season on South by Southwest earlier this month. So far, the show has received mixed reviews, with much praise for its storyline and production design and criticism for its writing, pacing, and direction. Collider’s own Chase Hutchinson described the show as “a serviceable adaptation that doesn’t reinvent the wheel but breaks the terrible curse of video game adaptation.” That might be enough for Paramount+, who clearly have high hopes for the show, having already renewed it for a second season.
Aside from Scribes, Halo Stars Shabana Azmi as Admiral Margaret Parangosky, olive grey as Miranda Keyes, Yerin Ha as Kwan Ha Boo, Charlie Murphy as Makee, Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes, Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066 and Natasha McElhone as dr Catherine Elizabeth Halsey. jens taylor reprises her singing role as Cortana, an AI created by Dr. Halsey. The show is, of course, based on the video game series of the same name, which was first released in 2001.
Paramount+ released the following synopsis for the series prior to its release:
“Halo follows an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. Halo will weave deep personal stories with action, adventure and a richly crafted vision of the future. It’s a standalone story that takes place within its own “Silver Timeline” and is inspired by the game series rather than a sequel, adaptation, or prequel.”
gloriole is the latest original series to be published by Paramount+. Next comes the streamer The offerwhat stars Miles Teller and sheds light on the making of one of the greatest films of all time, The Godfather. star trek was also one of the biggest blessings for the streamer and those to come Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will make its way onto the platform next month.
