We are heading towards a cloudy, wet and cooler weather pattern

Posted:

We have another day ahead of us with temperatures over 80 degrees and then it will be cloudy, wet and cooler! We’re in for another round of morning fog on Thursday, but afternoon sunshine will push temperatures into the lower 80s once again. That will be the end of this week’s above average temperatures. A cold front is moving into the area, bringing clouds and rain as well as cooler air.
It looks like a frontal boundary will move through the area and linger to our south. This position will keep us in a cloudy, wet and cooler weather pattern for several days. We expect precipitation amounts between 0.50 and 0.75 inches. The model data continues to show an upward trend and in some places we could see a little more. Temperatures will drop due to clouds and rain activity. Highs will only reach the upper 60s to lower 70s on both Saturday and Sunday. You’ll probably need the rain gear for all of your outdoor weekend plans.
