A shootout at WeatherTech’s warehouse in Bolingbrook, Illinois injured three people and killed one. according to the police.

The suspect has not yet been identified and the motive has not been released. Filming took place on Saturday 25 June 2022.

“We can confirm that one victim has died, one victim is in critical condition and one victim has been discharged from the hospital,” Bolingbrook Police said wrote in a press release. The victim was not named either.

Where is Bolingbrook, Illinois located? It is a southwest suburb of Chicago.

The suspect is in custody

According to a Bolingbrook Police Department press release, at 6:25 a.m. on June 25, 2022, “Officers were dispatched to Weathertech Way 1 to report a gunshot wound. The perpetrator fled the building.”

Police continued: “Several police units are in the area with a heavy police presence. We can confirm that 3 people were shot.”

They said a suspect was in custody and wrote, “The alleged perpetrator was located and taken into custody at approximately 9:25 a.m. … The incident is still under investigation.”

The mayor has rebooked the police statement on their Facebook page without offering any further details. “Thanks to all law enforcement for keeping us safe,” one person replied in the mayor’s comments thread.

Another comment writer wrote: “Mayor, thank you for your post with all the ACCURATE dates. As a resident for over 40 years, you appreciate that.”

WeatherTech emphasizes that its products are “made right here in America.”

The WeatherTech shooting is the nation’s latest mass shooting. There have been a number of active shooters in the country, including in Uvalde, Texas and in Buffalo, New York. In news media comment threads on Facebook, the reaction to the recent shooting quickly turned into a gun control debate. A bipartisan gun control bill was recently passed by the US House of Representatives, with 14 Republicans lining up with Democrats to back the measure. according to Politico.

According to Politico, the bill contains “tight restrictions on firearm ownership, designed largely to keep guns out of the hands of people suffering from mental health crises. The bill includes approximately $13 billion in new spending on policy programs like mental health and school safety.”

“My fiancé’s great aunt works there. Apparently the shooter was a backup they had, not safe on any of the victims.” wrote a woman on Facebook. However, this information has not been confirmed by the authorities.

The company manufactures accessories for motor vehicles. “Perimeter established near Schmidt & Remington”, wrote journalist Maher Kawash on Facebook.
