‘Welcome to Wrexham’ Renewed for Season 3 at FX – The Hollywood Reporter

Newyddion there!

FX has been renewed Welcome to Wrexham for a third season that will premiere in 2024. The news comes ahead of the conclusion of season two on December 13th.

The hilarious sports documentary series follows the exploits of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and their ownership of Wrexham AFC, the world’s third oldest professional football club in the working-class north Wales town.

The first season followed the Two Robs’ takeover of the club and their crash course in football fandom (and, more importantly, desperation) as Wrexham attempts to gain promotion from the National League. The second season continues the club’s progress as Reynolds and McElhenney pour more money into Wrexham to achieve their promotion dreams.

Welcome to Wrexham is hugely popular on Disney on FX in the US and Disney+ in the rest of the world. The first season is currently nominated for six Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.

The documentaries are produced by McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Nick Frenkel, George Dewey and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma and Jordan Wynn. Welcome to Wrexham is produced by More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment and Boardwalk Pictures.
