When “The Voice” Runner-up Wendy Moten tripping over the screen and falling on the live broadcast, she told viewers at home that she was fine after the commercial break.
“We’ve never had anything like that happen,” said host Carson Daly, reaching for Moten’s arm. “Are you ok?” He told her. “Yes, I’m fine. I’m a little bruised but you know what? I’m still ready to go,” she said. But as it was revealed next week on “The Voice,” Moten was badly injured from a fall – breaking his elbow. hand and wrist fracture.
Moten excelled all the way to the finale, rocking a shiny cast and sling. She came in second, with her acting sibling Girl Named Tom winning them all. Now that season 21 of “The Voice” has ended, Moten is having surgery on her elbow. She came Instagram to give her followers updates on the situation.

Moten Reveals Her Elbows Are ‘Jacked Up’ and ‘Shattered’
In one day December 17 Videos on InstagramMoten explained that she’s preparing for surgery so she can “get back to the business, back into making music”. She also shared, “I asked one of the top surgeons at Vanderbilt to be ready to work on my arm.”
Moten’s fellow finalists Jershika Maple and Paris Winham left supportive comments about the video. “Praying for you, Sis,” Winham wrote, while Maple moved away from the heart emoji and praying hands. Country singer Martina McBride, who Moten went on tour with, also comment out the heart emoji on the post.
In an interview with EVERYONEMoten explained that she originally planned to have surgery in Burbank, California, near where “The Voice” was showing, but decided to wait until she returned home to Nashville. The 57-year-old singer is even scheduled for two different surgery dates, one for if she wins the show and one for if she doesn’t.
Moten’s elbow injury is more serious than fans who’ve seen her laugh and sing out loud on “The Voice” can tell. Moten told PEOPLE: “My elbow is strained. “It was ruined. It is not good. I had to have surgery to put the metal plates and bolts and stuff. So I’m surprised that I can still go on with that knowledge. “

“I am so lucky to have found the right guy, the right life partner, because I have been career-oriented all my life and so is he,” said Moten. EVERYONE about her relationship with Santos. “So I describe us best as two lonely people who want someone to love us.” According to People, the couple have been together for 26 years.
“He is my biggest cheerleader. I’m a workaholic, so sometimes I’ll go on two to three tours in a year. The wrong person will think that you don’t like them, or that you never want to be at home, but he understands that I’m just the driver,” Moten said. “(There were no) problems choosing between him or my job. He knows I love to work, and so does he, so it was just a fluke.”
