Wendy Williams doesn’t seem okay in the ‘unusable’ video she made for the Women’s Expo
New footage from Wendy Williams has appeared – and she doesn’t seem to be quite herself in it.
For those who don’t remember, the 59-year-old TV personality was supposed to be appearing on the Atlanta Women’s Expo already in May. However, she backed out at the last minute. She was reportedly “briefly” discharged from the hospital in New York before the event, but “went straight back into the care of doctors,” forcing her to cancel the performance.
But her publicist Shawn Zanotti She later denied the claim, saying she was “neither in the hospital” nor “in New York.” It was a big mystery what was going on with her at the time. But now some new details about this time have come to light.

The sun received a video that Wendy’s team allegedly used to promote their appearance at the show. Unfortunately, it was never made available to the public at the time. And it’s understandable why it never saw the light of day after we’ve had a look. In the 45-second clip, Wendy can be seen reading out what was written for her in a notebook:
“Hi, it’s Wendy, Wendy Williams, but my real name is Wendy Hunter. I am married to a hunter.”
What? She continues:
“Anyway, Wendy Williams, um, I’ll be at the Women’s Empowerment Expo. It will be Saturday May 20th. Please join us. It is very important. I have so much…”
She then appears to deviate from the script, telling fans:
“They told me it would only be about 20 minutes please let me tell you something girls. It will take an hour. There’s so much I can talk to you about. OK. So see you there. Bye.”
You can see the clip HERE. Why has nobody seen this video until now? An insider revealed to the outlet that show officials thought she was “unusable” as she appeared “completely disoriented” throughout the event – despite her team repeatedly insisting she was fine:
“Her team submitted this video for use and insisted she was fine. The expo told them the video was useless and rejected it. She seemed completely disoriented. Everyone who saw the video, except for Wendy’s team, felt that she wasn’t good enough to give such a big speech. But her team kept saying she was fine.”
Seems the Expo at least was concerned about Wendy’s well-being, although some in her close circle weren’t! The source added:
“When they sent the video claiming to be married to a hunter, they expected it to be used! They obviously didn’t protect her in any way because she looked awful. She seemed completely upset.”
Wow. Aside from not feeling well in the video, the Expo team also refused to share it, as they thought people would be upset that Wendy claimed to be married to her cheating ex-husband. Kevin Hunter, as this event was about empowering women. (FYI, their divorce was finalized in January 2020.)
