Bill Maher has been making headlines since his last episode club coincidence Podcast discontinued with Bella Thorne.
The American comedian has been delighting his fans with interesting conversations with his podcast guests for some time. However, his recent conversation with Bella has left many listeners with conflicting feelings.
The duo met and chatted about a variety of topics, one of which was suffering from anxiety.

What did Bill Maher say to Bella Thorne?
A segment of Drink and smoke loaded podcast saw Bella trying to explain her mental health issues and difficult childhood.
However, when the 24-year-old opened up about how her anxiety “got her in weeds,” the podcast host didn’t seem to agree with her.
“What about you kids and the fear?” The 66-year-old comedian asked, “What’s causing all the fear?”
Bella tried to explain what she meant and how the fear affected her, but Bill called it a “disingenuous argument” and claimed that her generation “doesn’t know what’s going on in the world.”
“So how can you be so freaking worried about what’s going on in the world?” said the comedian. “I know what’s going on in the world! I should be afraid! I follow him, you children do not follow him. You don’t know what the hell is going on in the world! What are you annoyed about?”

He also said, “You should get off Twitter, get off social media, and maybe you wouldn’t have that fear.”
Bill continued to share his thoughts on fear, saying, “I think a lot of the people who are the most fearful have the most privileged lives,” before pointing out how well Bella was doing, saying, “Look at your life ! Everyone wants it. Everyone wants to be you.”

Fans had different thoughts about the episode. While some could see what Bill was about, others thought the comedian needed to do better.
One fan said: “Watching the @billmaher podcast with @bellathorne I don’t identify with this generation, I mean I respect them, but I don’t understand this view that tragedy isn’t funny. Maybe this is a better way, but I disagree. I have to make fun of the fucking shit in my life or go crazy.
“It’s the interviewer’s job to keep the flow going. Bill needs to do better,” tweeted another fan
How did Bella react to Bill’s comments about fear?
Defend your experiences and fight with fear, said Bella: “I don’t know, I think that’s a very narrow way of thinking about trauma.”
The Duff actress continued: “Everybody really has their trauma. What is happening in Ukraine is unspeakable – that is something else. But as far as trauma goes for everyone, I lost my father when I was eight. I was abused growing up.”
“Harassed?” said Bill, shocked.
“Yeah. I’ve been through shit, everyone goes through shit,” she said. “If you look at a book and judge it by its cover.
Bill clarified this, saying he “won’t judge at all.”
