Killing Eve has been delighting fans for four years with former MI6 agent Eve and deadly assassin Villanelle’s will-they-wont-they romance.

With many twists and turns along the way, Eve and Villanelle eventually succumb to their feelings for each other after taking refuge in a Scottish mountain hut.

The pair wandered the Scottish Highlands after successfully escaping Gunn’s Island. Rub shoulders with English couple Maggie and Don.

Finally, after four long seasons, Eve and Villanelle end their game of cat and mouse and share an on-screen kiss that delights fans everywhere.

But before Eve and Villanelle headed to London in a last-ditch effort to bring down The Twelve, the dysfunctional couple took refuge in a cabin, but what exactly does the term mean?

What is a bothy?

A bothy refers to a type of free shelter. The term derives from the Gaelic word “bothan” meaning hut.

Typically made of stone, shelters were originally intended as housing for laborers and farmers working on larger estates.

Bothys are found in the Scottish Highlands, although a handful can be found in northern England and Wales.

The shelters have recently been refurbished to accommodate explorers in the Highlands. You can stay in it for free and do not need to be booked. Although it is likely that you will be sharing the house with other travellers.

Killing Eve ending explained

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS

The final season of Killing Eve left nothing to be desired, killing fan favorite Konstantin in one shocking twist. However, that wasn’t the only storyline the show had in store.

After teaming up to defeat The Twelve once and for all, Villanelle and Eve travel to England, eventually accepting that they need each other.

The Twelve meet on a boat on the Thames. While Eve poses as a distraction, Villanelle systematically murders every member of the organization, seemingly ending their reign of terror forever. With the Twelve out of the picture, Eve and Villanelle finally seem ready to start their life together.

Not correct. In the final moments, gunfire opens, fatally shooting Villanelle. In a final twist, it is revealed that Carolyn was the one who ordered the hit to tie up loose ends.

Fans react to the tearful finale

Villanelle’s death came as a shock to everyone, and fans were devastated by the grizzly end to the beloved characters. The ending certainly ruffled a few feathers on social media, with a fan He said, “Killing Eve brought down Game of Thrones because it had the worst ending of any show in television history.”
