What Lottie heard in her vision at the end of Season 2 Episode 3 of Yellowjackets
The blood vision turns out to be a fancy trick… or something. Like a magic spell, the phrase that rips her out of him is “Il veut du sang,” spoken by one of Lottie’s cult servants who is just out of line. Lottie gets a look of deadly horror on her face. “What? What did you say?” asks Lottie. She clarifies, “Are you coming to lunch?” But Lottie isn’t the only one who has experienced this shock of fearful recognition.
We’ve heard this creepy little French curse before. During the knife-on-a-string seance in Season 1 Episode 5, a window shatters inwards and Lottie starts screaming after Javi asks if they’re all going to die in the wild. The screaming turns to mumbling, French mumbling, which Jackie roughly translates to “it wants blood,” which Lottie repeats over and over.
It wasn’t the first indication that the forest they had fallen into wasn’t what they seemed. It wasn’t the first hint that Lottie wasn’t everything, either she seemed. But up to this point, it was the most irrefutable proof that food and shelter weren’t the only things they had to worry about. So what is “it” and why has it finally caught up with Lottie in the present?
