What Louisiana says is the best traditional king cake

MANDEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) – The people of Louisiana voted on their favorite king cake. Here’s what they said.
A survey conducted by Innovative Advertising, a Mandeville-based company, says men are 20% more likely to put the baby away so they don’t have to buy the next king cake.
Those who took part in the survey voted for their favorite cake in the following categories: traditional, filled, fresh, presentation and taste.
According to Innovative Advertising, the survey revealed that 50% of respondents to the survey voted that they would wait in a long line for their preferred option.
Although no king cake from Baton Rouge won, they can still be ordered online.
Caluda’s king cake in Harahan took home two of the most popular categories: Best Filled for its Cream Cheese and Best Flavor for its White Chocolate Bread Pudding and Raspberry.
Sugar Love Bakery in Slidell also won two categories: Best Traditional and Best Presentation.
Ranny Mandazzo in Metarie was voted best freshness.
