When is vector glare off?

Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Vector Glare has been unveiled and fans won’t have to wait long to test it out on PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms.

Ubisoft confirmed earlier this month that they will be rolling out the next major expansion for the hit shooter in the coming weeks, although some of that will depend on a successful testing period.

But if all goes well with the R6 TS, players should soon have the opportunity to play with a brand new holographic shield system and operator.

Here’s what we know so far about the new season of Rainbow Six Siege and when to expect its release across all platforms.

When is the new season of Rainbow Six Siege coming?

Ubisoft has confirmed The release date of the new season of Rainbow Six Siege has been set for June 7th, 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC platforms. No specific time has been announced yet, but R6 development will notify fans beforehand how long the maintenance will last that day.

Servers are typically only down for about an hour, but Ubisoft uses a staggered update method, meaning launch times will be slightly different for those playing on different platforms. Operation Vector Glare kicks off with the start of the new season, adding a new operator to the mix called Sens.

The new operator features a ROU projector system to redefine cover on the battlefield, making it possible to block vantage points and try out different tactics. Sens is an attacker, but not a particularly fast one, so making the best use of the Throwable Projector will be important, the new gadget is detailed below:

“The ROU Projector System rolls after being thrown by Sens, dropping small projectors to create a screen along its path. Although physical objects can still pass through the screen, it is very flexible and cuts off multiple lines of sight at once.”

It will also introduce a new deathmatch map called Close Quarter, which will be the first dedicated team deathmatch map to focus on movement rather than defense settings. More information on this new content will be announced as we get closer to release day in June 2022.
