One of the main areas where Elden Ring excels is its dynamic weapon combat system. With its diverse range of weapons, the game allows players to choose the way they want to take on the many enemies the Lands Between has to offer. Whether it’s a swift fighter with speed or a hard-hitting behemoth, your choice of weapon will dictate your playstyle.
If devastating damage at the expense of speed and agility sounds like a good compromise for you, a giant greatsword is probably what you’re looking for. Here are all of the Colossal Sword locations in Elden Ring.
Every Colossal Swords location in Elden Ring
Location of the two-handed greatsword
Skill: Stamp (Upcut)
The two-hander can be purchased from Isolated businessman in exchange for 3500 runes. The Isolated Trader is located in a hut in the far west of the Weeping Peninsula.

The Greatsword is located in Caelid, Dragonbarrow, northwest of the Site of Mercy in the Caelem Ruins. It can be looted from the chest in the enemy caravan traveling through the area Caelid Highway.
Location of Watchdog’s greatsword
Skill: Stamp (Upcut)
The Watchdog’s Greatsword can be found in two possible locations from the sword-wielding Watchdogs in the game mountain peaks of the giants.
- Giant’s Mountaintop Catacombs – This dungeon is located east behind the Sanctuary of the Zamor Ruins. Take the elevator to the dungeon and go downstairs. Then trigger the elevator and quickly exit. Another elevator comes from below, and if you take that elevator back down, you’ll face two guard dogs. The second drops a greatsword.
- Giants defeating hero tomb – This dungeon is west of Sanctuary near Giant’s Grave Post. There will be a watchdog enemy inside that will drop a greatsword after defeating it.

Location of Troll’s Golden Sword
Ability: Troll’s Roar
The troll’s golden sword is in a chest on top of a hearse located east of the Site of Mercy in Erdtree Gazing Hill.
Location of the Troll Knight’s Sword
Ability: Troll’s Roar
The Troll Knight’s Sword is located in Caria Manor. It is dropped by the troll knight guarding the stairway leading to the royal knight Loretta.

Unique Ability: Wolf Attack
The Royal Greatsword can be obtained by completing Ranni’s questline. At the end of the quest, Blaidd will appear in front of Ranni’s Rise Tower. Defeat him in battle to collect the weapon along with his armor.
Refined bladed greatsword
Unique Ability: Oath of Vengeance
The Grafted Blade Greatsword can be found in Castle Morne on the Weeping Peninsula. It can be obtained by defeating Leonine Mibegotten.
Ruins greatsword
Unique Ability: Wave of Destruction
The Ruins greatsword is located in Redmane Castle. It can be obtained by defeating the Misbegotten Warrior and Crucible Knight. However, this duo boss fight is only accessible after Starscourge Radahn has been defeated.

Starcourge greatsword
Unique Ability: Starcaller’s Cry
To obtain the Starcourge Greatsword, players must first defeat Starscourge Radahn and obtain Remembrance of the Starscourge. To obtain the weapon, then trade the memory of the Court of Stars with Enia in the Round Table Keep.
Greatsword of the Godslayer
Unique Ability: The Queen’s Black Flame
The Godslayer’s greatsword weapon is located in the Divine Tower of Caelid. It’s in a chest in a room behind the Godskin Apostle’s arena after defeating him in battle.
Maliketh’s Black Blade
Unique Ability: Fateful Death
To obtain Maliketh’s Black Blade, players must first defeat Maliketh and obtain the Memory of the Black Blade. Then, to get the weapon, trade the memory of the Black Blade with Enia at the Round Table.
