Where to find all ores in Minecraft 1.19

Ore is one of the most important items in Minecraft and is used to craft armor, building blocks, and more. But where are the best places to find ore and am I looking in the wrong place. Here you can find all ores in Minecraft from version 1.19.

In version 1.18 of Minecraft, the levels that generate ores have completely changed. In version 1.19, however, this has largely not changed. Instead, players got better at finding ore and more information on how to mine it. We made a handy table with the best places to find ore in Minecraft 1.19

coal ore

Coal is one of the most common ores in Minecraft, but only in Stone and Deep Shale. Your best bet for coal mining is around Y 96.

Copper Ore and Iron Ore are now also generated in veins. These large deposits will mix the ore with a fill material that will be either tuff for iron or granite for copper. You should look for these veins around Y 48.

As previously mentioned, Iron Ore is now also generated in veins. These large deposits will mix the ore with a fill material that will be tuff. If you find tuff, look around, you might have found an iron vein! Iron has several optimal ranges, the first being at 225Y in Bergen. The next is around 16Y and finally between Y-32 and Y-60.

Lapis Lazuli Ore

Lapis Lazuli will never spawn exposed after the 1.18 update. That makes it a lot more like Ancient Debris. It generates exclusively between the Y -64 to Y 64 levels and is most concentrated in between. Y -32 to Y 32.

redstone ore

Redstone is more common the deeper you go, but only generates between Y -64 and Y 15. We recommend looking for it at around Y -32.

gold ore

The gold generated in badlands has been increased in version 1.18 and version 1.19. Badlands are now the easiest place to get gold outside of the Nether.

Emerald Ore

Emeralds generate more the higher you are in the mountains. This explains why these villagers can get so many despite never seeing them mining. You have to practically get them out of the ground.

diamond ore

Diamond ore is the most valuable ore in the overworld. It’s more common the deeper you go, but is best at Y -64. There are entire guides on how to find diamonds, and some players consider it a kind of art!
