Materials are needed in V Rising to craft new gear and upgrade your Castle. Gems are an extremely important resource in the early stages of the game, as they are needed to upgrade your equipment and eventually used for jewelry.
Precious stones are found in certain Stone deposits from which gemstones protrude. These are a rare breed In every place you can find stone deposits. Because of this, any mine or quarry that contains a large number of stone deposits is a good place to farm.
Whenever you find one of these Use your mace to collect the loot. You will receive random gems from the deposit. Due to the random nature of the drops, it’s highly recommended to collect them whenever you find them.

You can also get gems from stone golems found throughout Farbane Woods. This is a slightly tougher enemy, but another guaranteed way to farm gems.
