Luckily, there are several ways to add them to your inventory – one of which requires absolutely no work on your part. Do you want to hoard as many moonstones as possible? Here’s what you need to know.

There are three main ways to earn moonstones. The first method is the most obvious: you can harvest them in the Highlands. Moonstones are easily recognized by their blue tint. Just hit them with your standard spell and they become harvestable.

In the Highlands, keep an eye out for rocky outcrops and mountainous regions, as these tend to yield moonstones more frequently. Most players have found luck searching near Upper Hogsfield’s Floo Flame and near West Hogwarts Valley’s Floo Flame, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled wherever you go outside the castle stop. Moonstones can be found just about anywhere, so it never hurts to keep an eye out.

Another way to earn Moonstones Hogwarts legacy is the use of the Evanesco Charm on items in the Room of Requirement. Furniture like paintings, chairs, tables, and desks are scattered throughout the Room of Requirement, and using Evanesco on all of them awards a tidy sum of moonstones. So if anything seems out of place, be sure to use the spell to redeem free moonstones.

The final and arguably easiest way to earn Moonstones is to purchase the Material Refiner in Hogsmeade. Go to Tomes and Scrolls in the southern part of town where you will find the Material Refiner for 1,500 coins. Once purchased, this can be placed in the Room of Requirement – where it will automatically generate moonstones. Up to three Material Refiners can be placed in the room, making it an easy source of Moonstones after the high initial investment.

Moonstones are used to customize the Room of Requirement. Whether you’re adding useful crafting tables or just filling the room with decorations, you’ll likely need a sizable sum of moonstones.
