This is in reference to the wide release as it was indeed a limited run on Friday March 25th.

So far there is no streaming or UK release date. It will likely reach UK audiences in cinemas this summer rather than debuting directly on streaming services for rental.

What to Expect, the film tells the story of a Chinese-American woman being audited by the IRS. Ready for the foosball? She must meet with numerous versions of herself and travel to parallel universes to ensure those versions of herself are not wiped out.

“I think first, the Daniels, Daniels, Daniels! The crazy, wonderful, clever, intelligent, brilliant [Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert.] It was so bold and brave to write a screenplay like this about a very ordinary aging housewife, a mother we don’t see very often.”

She added: “We find her unseen and assume she has to perform and complete all these tasks. Holding the family together, trying to be successful in the eyes of their parents… and then having the opportunity to make a superhero out of someone like that!”
