A Cozy Christmas Inn was filmed in Huntsville, Utah
Also known as the sequel to Christmas Under Wraps was A Cozy Christmas Inn. Shot in Huntsville, Utah, in the middle of winter. The working title at the time was Christmas Under Wraps 2: Holiday Inn Love, which caused a lot of confusion since Candace Cameron Bure wasn’t part of the filming crew.
IMBD still lists this film as a sequel. Hybrid Productions confirmed to Heavy that the film is indeed the official sequel to Christmas Under Wraps.
A Cozy Christmas Inn was filmed in Utah O’Donnell shared how beautiful the set and surroundings were during filming. His post was published back in December 2021, so it’s been almost a year since the film was shot. However, the post-production was not updated until April 6, 2022, according to IMDb Pro.
Filming wrapped up in December 2021, when Sweetin bid farewell to Utah in an Instagram post. So this film may have more of an authentic, cold-weather feel than some other Hallmark films shot in the summer.
She also posted this beautiful picture of the sky while she was filming.
O’Donnell confirms he’s a big fan of the snow in a video he uploaded to Instagram during filming. “Making snow and movies – two of my favorite things to do,” he wrote. Unfortunately, his Instagram posts aren’t embeddable, so you have to look at the link watch. He frequently grabbed his cell phone and commented on how beautiful the place was where they were filming.
They stayed at the Compass Rose Lodge during filming and were made to feel absolutely welcome. O’Donnell commented on his Instagram picture: “If you’re in Utah, do yourself a favor and stay here.”

With the holidays fast approaching, real estate magnate Sharon Farris (Vivica A. Fox, Summer in the City) knows what she wants for Christmas: a quaint little bed and breakfast in cute Christmas town Garland, Alaska. Determined to get her hands on the property at any cost, she sends one of her junior managers, Erika (Sweetin), to persuade the owner to sell it. Much to Erika’s surprise, the owner turns out to be Andy Holliday (O’Donnell), her ex-boyfriend from college. As Erika spends time in town trying to convince Andy and his father Frank (Brian Doyle-Murray, “Lodge 49”) to sell the property to Sharon, the town girl falls in love with Garland’s charm as well as her her ex-boyfriend. In fact, the experience changes her so much that when she learns business is bad and he’s on the brink of bankruptcy, she decides to use her knowledge and experience to help him keep the very hotel that he is she was sent away from him. Is there still enough time until December 25 to successfully turn things around? More importantly, as their relationship develops, will Erika and Andy be able to avoid their past mistakes and live happily ever after?
Jodie Sweetinan actress, producer, author and activist, plays Erika. According to her bioShe was Stephanie Tanner on ABC’s long-running “Full House” and Netflix’s spin-off “Fuller House.” (Her character was the sister of Bure’s character on the show.) Sweetin will next appear on Lifetime in Merry Swissmas. She previously served as both co-executive producer and actress on the romantic comedy Just Swipe and has just wrapped up production on the upcoming romantic comedy Craft Me a Romance, in which she stars and is co-executive producer is.

David O’Donnell plays Andi. According to his biography, he has had leading roles in a number of Hallmark films. One of them is “Christmas Under Wraps”, which holds the record for the number of households that have seen the film with 6 million viewers. O’Donnell has served as executive producer on a number of Hallmark films, including A Christmas Love Story, starring Kristin Chenoweth and Scott Wolf, and Home for Christmas Day, starring Catherine Bell and Victor Webster.
He recently left to help after Hurricane Ian passed North Port and shared his experience on Instagram. “What a rewarding experience helping people – nothing like that feeling,” he wrote.
