Where was Alba filmed? Netflix filming locations explored

Spanish series Alba tells a heartbreaking story centered around the title character and viewers are interested to know where the series was filmed.

We reveal where Alba was filmed, highlight specific locations visited during filming and provide an episode guide for the series.

Directed by Pablo Guerrero, Carlota Martínez-Pereda and Humberto Miró and based on the Turkish series Fatmagül’ün Suçu Ne? Alba follows the well-known Madrid student who returns to her hometown for the holidays and becomes a victim of sexual assault.

Where was Alba filmed?

Alba was filmed entirely in Spain, in the province of Alicante and the autonomous community of Madrid.

Principal photography for the series began in June 2020 and filming lasted six months before concluding in December of the same year.

Season 1 of Alba was filmed during the pandemic and the production team implemented strict protocols during filming.

The Alicante province of the Valencian Community hosted much of the series, with many sets used for filming, including Bol Nou beach in Villajoyosa.

Crucial scenes were also filmed in the Serra Gelada Natural Park, as well as in the municipality of Finestrat, in the comarca of Marina Baixa.

In addition, the series also featured the historical community of Madrid, which is home to several tourist attractions.

The series first premiered on Atresplayer Premium in March 2021 before arriving on Netflix last week.
